Next on God's agenda in the Haitian community is a source of fresh water, which can be made possible via a connection we recently made at the Santuario (a church in San Pedro). Our friends here have a water purification ministry and seem eager to help us in the community. Please pray that this ministry will take off! What a blessing it would be to this community if DOMINICANS help provide them with water at 1/2 the price they are paying now!
Today is EIGHT months that Joe and I have been together. What a journey! This month, we have a slow month in terms of ministry here--- which made Joe and I wonder if we should look to serve with a different ministry for about two weeks. So far, nothing is working out, but we are confident that God will have us/take us, where is best. Please join us in praying that the doors will open where we need to go!
I seemed to have picked up some "friends", as we like to call them...some parasites. Please pray that the cleanses I do would work, and that the uncomfortable feelings in my body would leave!!!
So you know how people I love are ALWAYS coming and going in my life? Well it's happening again. Aubrey and Nick are leaving this Monday for about two months, to go home and be with their families. I feel that heart pang of grief...grieving their leaving. Please pray for ME, as well as for THEM. Aubrey and I are going to have 24 hours of best friend time this Friday and Saturday. Pray that it will be all we need it to be. :)
-For Aubrey and Nick, who both have sicknesses that have caused them not to be able to hear very well. -For the last couple days of outreach for the Montana DTS that is here. That they would end their time on outreach with clear guidance how to live their lives boldly for Jesus once they are back home.
One of my main struggles, when I get busy working in YWAM, is keeping up with all the wonderful people in my life. Please pray that I would be able to make the time I need, so that I can stay connected with my many loved ones!
Today I need lots of ideas, verses coming together about the Kingdom of Heaven, and our speeches for WHO WHAT and WHERE concerning the Kingdom of Heaven. Productivity and the leading of the Holy Spirit, porfavor!!
A few days ago, all of us missionaries paired off to pray for one another. In just 6 minutes, my prayer partner covered my most pressing needs---BATHING them in prayer! I thought, "WOW, if I even had a few people to pray for FIVE minutes everyday, my whole time here in the DR would be dramatically different than if I DIDN'T have people praying!" SO--- I want to do MY part to write my specific needs, and you, do YOURS!
Current prayer needs: -For PROTECTION when we drive..that we never get in an accident, nor even witness one, as that would be bad news for us. -For Mita (a Haitian woman) and her family. For the complete healing of her husband, who has been throwing up blood for 5 years. -For creativity and guidance from God as Joe and I plan a makeshift youth mission trip program for next week! For planning talks, outreach and activities. -For health, cool breezes, and mosquito eaters! :)
It is just about one month until I leave once again for work in MISSIONS! I know that this month is just going to fly by, as it is filled with visits to friends and family. And yet, in the midst of it all, I know that my spirit is craving time with Jesus, just preparing me for the change ahead. Please pray that in my alone times, as well as my times with great friends, that God will be speaking to my heart about the things on His heart!
Corinne and Chad were covered in many prayers during Corinne's pregnancy and delivery. Carson is here, healthy and loved. To follow God's amazing faithfulness with this family, check out Corinne's blog: www.candccline.blogspot.com
