This Thursday is "Corpus Christi" Day here. A big celebration-- where everyone sells....GUINEA PIG! I got a preview of the dish this past weekend. It actually wasn't bad! I was really nervous, but it just tasted like dark meat to me! :)
Yesterday I took Keira (Jed and Jaime's 3 1/2 yr old daughter) for a play date with Camila, Silvana's niece. The two girls were having such a fun time playing, and chasing the cat....until Keira fell down the steps. She fell from the top of the wooden stairs to the bottom, landing on the cement. On the right hand of the steps was a cement column, which forces you to walk left, because it sticks out so far. We went through every body part asking her if it hurt.. "no, no, no.. just my head". She just had a bumped head and scrape above her eye. I cant even explain to you how amazing this is. If you would have seen where she fell, you too would have told her and Silvana "I'm positive that God protected her. This is a miracle."
That night at church I told the story to Emily, and all of a sudden she said, "This morning I prayed for you guys for PROTECTION. I had this feeling that an accident was going to happen, so I thought 'Well all I can do is pray.' " Then Jaime said that she too had randomly prayed the night before for protection for us for the following day. This confirmed to me even more that that fall should have been worse, but Jesus protected his little girl.
If you ever have a feeling, and think "Well all I can do is pray"...PRAY! God uses US so that HE can do all He's wanting to do!
