Have you ever felt like you were just sticking out in a crowd? Well I often feel that way- because I am! I recently felt even more like a gringa (white girl) than I usually do:
I had spanish class with my teacher, Silvana, but instead of being in the classroom we decided to go to this big radio "show". We sat in the crowd, and I soon realized I was the ONLY gringa watching. Well sure enough, the radio host guy (who apparently all the girls were in love with), walked up to me with his microphone and cameras rolling, and after a small conversation, he asked for a kiss. At first I pretended like I didn't understand him, but then he said in English, "Kiiisss pleese?". So I turned my cheek to him and let him kiss my cheek. Everyone in the crowd whistled and cheered. That gringa left the show with her prize tee shirt in hand, as everyone watched and smirked....

My brother Cody, and Amber got engaged yesterday! They have been dating three and a half years -- and have been dedicated this whole time to put God first in their relationship. It's a healthy, fun, growing, honest, and pure relationship that is such an example to so many people! |
